Great day!

This last weekend was my 24th Birthday! 24. Man!! I feel like I am getting old! I had such a great day and so glad that I had my little family to share it with! I had NO idea what I wanted for my birthday when Cam was asking me I couldn't think of anything! All I could think of were things for my little Coop. Its so funny how when your younger you could think of all these material things that we could think of getting as presents on your Birthday. Then when you have children of your own you just want everything for them and would much rather spend your birthday money on them and for them. Material things don't matter anymore. You just want the best for your children. But as I got thinking I thought it might be fun to go out with a few of my girl friends to and have some "girl time" So we went and got our nails done. Then after that Cam met me with Cooper and we went to lunch with some of our friends. My mom always has a tradition to make our favorite meal for dinner and make us a cake. She made her famous tiny spicy chicken with rice. It sure was yummy! After that we decided that we would go see the Vow. While my Brother in law watched Coop while we went. So I had a really great day! Thanks to my wonderful friends and family for making my Birthday Special and for all the gifts!!

Better then we expected!

Cooper had his Physical Therapy this morning. I was a little nervous, just wondering what the he might say about Coops head and wasn't sure what to expect. People had told me horror stories about babies wearing helmets. So I was worried! They took a look, measured his head and told us that his head was a "7".. K?? what does that mean? The therapist then explained that there is a category from 1-7, 8-12 and so on.. the higher the number the more severe it is. 7 meaning mild. So his flatness is MILD! YAY!!! NO HELMET!!! He told us that its not anything that we did. It could just be genetic. I thought it was funny.. he said that he always takes a look at the parents' head as well and told us that he thought cams head was a little flat. That just reassures that fact that Cooper is a mini Cameron for sure! Everything like his Daddy. Even his flat little head! He just showed us some home exercises that we can do at home to help improve his head. He assured us that it he would most likely grow out of it if we do what we are supposed too!

BLOW OUT!

All you parents know and dread the words "Blow Out." I thought I knew the meaning of the words. But no, I didn't. Not until the other day when Cooper had a HUGE blow out!

He was sitting with Daddy in his Bumbo. (Of course playing COD.) I was downstairs cleaning up after dinner. So I came up and Cam told he that he heard the joyous sounds of a little one pooping. So I grabbed the diaper and wipes thinking nothing of it. OH NO! I pull down his diaper and had Totally missed his diaper and went up all the way to his shoulders.

The wipes were just not working for this massive poop! It was EVERYWHERE!!!! On his clothes, Up his back, Up to his shoulders and even on the floor! So we just had to put him in the bath!

This is my Cute litte boy. Yes I know this picture is Nasty but he is just so cute I had to show it.

Where does the time go?

5 months?? Where did these past 5 months go? Our sweet little boy is almost 5 months at the end of this month. There have been so many milestones that he has reached. One of the greatest blessings about being a parent is getting to see how much your child learns and grows. Little Cooper isn't so little anymore! (Well not as little as he used to be.) Eating rice cereal, Trying to sit up whenever he is laid down, Rolling over, Talking, Talking, TALKING! and loves to stand up like a big boy.

At our last Doc's appointment we were confirmed that our little boy is just growing as big as can be. At his two month check up he is one the 30 percentile for his height and weight. At his 4 month checkup he is now the 70 percentile for both his height and weight. 26 inches long and 14 pounds!

But we did get some bad news... :( Coopers little head is misshapen and he might have to wear a helmet to reform it correctly. We had his physical therapy scheduled for Feb. 2nd but the physical therapist was sick so we had to re-schedule for Feb. 16. I just worry if he does have to have a helmet that he will hate it. But Cam was very cute about the situation and says we will put football decals on his helmet. So of course he will be SPORTIN!

My pediatrician also told me that it was ok for him to start eating baby food. AGGGHHHH my little boy is just growing up so stikin fast. I haven't started him on baby food just yet. I know he is ready and eats his rice cereal just great! I couldn't believe how well he eat it the first time! I went into it expecting he would eat a little bit. But he ate the whole thing with no problems. So I know hes ready! But I'm not! I told myself I would wait just a little longer. EVERYTHING IS JUST HAPPENING SO FAST!

Now I know the true meaning of the saying "Don't blink for you'll miss it."

4 MONTHS OLD!

My Little Cooper is 4 months old today! I cant believe it. Time goes by so fast. He sure is getting to the fun little boy stage and of course the stubborn stage. :)

He will not WILL NOT be laid down. He would just love to lay down kick and play. But now he has to see EVERYTHING that is going on.

I love watching all the milestones that he makes. Watching him grow is just amazing and how quickly he does! He can now roll over from his belly to his back and also the other way. He hold his head up so well, He loves just focusing on his hands and grabbing things.

We have had him in a bassinet next to us for the past 4 months. But we decided that TODAY was the day that we would have him sleep in his big boy crib! So we cleaned everything out and his now ready for him to sleep in. I know this sounds silly but I almost cried when I put him in for his nap in his crib. Just because he is growing so stinking fast! But we will see how it goes! Wish us luck.

Christmas time!

This year Christmas is going to be a little different for our family. First off this is Coopers first Christmas, and we will be spending Christmas down in Arizona! Cams family lives there and we thought it would be a nice change up from the FREEZING COLD.

It takes about 15 hours to get to Arizona from Logan and man it is a long drive! I was a little nervous about driving that long with Cooper but.. He did great! I couldnt believe how well he did. We left about 5:30 am and didnt get there until about 8 that night. He slept most of the way. He is just such a great baby! I cant believe how lucky Cam and I are to have such a wonderful, happy little boy.

This is our second day here in Arizona and Coop's just getting loves and more loves! We will be here for about 3 weeks. Im So excited for Coopers first Christmas! Cam and I were done with his Christmas shopping about 2 weeks ago.

As I have mentioned in previous blog posts Jo-anne every year for Christmas makes her kids a Christmas ornament. I just loved that idea! Every year I look forward to putting all of Cams up and see what different ones were made with each year. So I thought that I would keep that tradtion in our family. My idea for Coop's first Christmas ornament was getting a white or clear blub and put it hand print with the year at the bottom. I havent got around to making it yet! But when I do I will be sure to post pictures.
