One month old tomorrow!

I cannot believe that our litte Cooper will be a month old tomorrow! I truley understand the saying "Time sure does fly when you are having fun!" Cam and I are very blessed to have such a great baby. Our litte boy  is so good! He only gets upset if he needs to be changed or needs to be fed. He sleeps during the night, only waking up 2 times. Other then that he loves to look around, hang out and snuggle!

Cooper is only a month old. But We cant imagine life without him. We sure have had our adventures with our little guy. The joys of getting peed on..thats only happned about a billion times :)  No, Just a couple, getting spit up on down your shirt. All the fun things that parenthood brings. But we wouldnt trade it for anything in the world.

About 2 weeks ago we were able to get Newborn pictures done. Which could have gone better but ya do what ya gotta do! Cooper didnt like it that is for sure. Did I mention that he never cries? Well, the most he has ever cried was during newborns! But we were able to get some good ones. Here are a few

We love our little guy and so glad that he is finally here.

Our Newest Arrival!

We have a new addition to our family! Cooper Matthew Carter is finally here. He is a bundle of joy that is for sure. He is such a great baby! We feel so blessed to have him in our home! Well...Cam and I went into the docs office just having a regular check-up at 38 weeks, didn't think anything of it... had my blood pressure checked, The doc walks in and asks "Are you ready to have a baby today?"(my blood pressure was really high) He didnt see the point in waiting any longer. Of course Cam and I had talked the night before about getting the hospital bag ready just in case but shoved it off to the side thinking that we didn't really need to do it. So my Doc sent us up to the hospital and there is where it started! 17 hours and 3 updirals later.... YES THREE! Cooper finally arrived!

I cant believe that our little guy is almost 3 weeks already. Where did the time go? Every morning I wake up and I cant believe how much he changes. I swear its every day. He was so sleepy the first week or so. But now hes starting to open his eyes alot more which is fun!

My Inlaws came up from Arizona a couple of days after Cooper was born. They decided to throw me a shower while they were here. At the shower Jo-anne had everyone write down advice for me as a new mother. There were two peieces of advice that really stuck with me. "The dishes and the laundry can wait, But Cooper cant" That is what my mother in law wrote. Which Im a clean freak and when something is out of place I HAVE to fix it. But I really took that to heart. The other day Cam and I had been gone visting Cams grandparents and the house really needed to be cleaned, But I just decided to not worry about it, Let the house be dirty and spend time with my husband and snuggle with my little guy. The other piece of advice that really stuck with me was "Enjoy the moment while you are in it. Dont say I cant wait for when Cooper does this or when cooper can do that. Because that moment will be gone before you know it." I really liked that. I keep that in mind and enjoy the little everyday moments.

Here are some pictures of Cooper. Hope you think he is as cute as we do! Enjoy!

Memory Box for Cooper.

Ever since I first found that I was expecting I have recieved in the mail Parent Magazine. A couple months ago while I was reading through the pages I stumbled across this section about a memory box. The writer had written that she had came up with the idea to save all the wrapping paper, bows, bags, etc and cover a shoe box with those bags and papers that she had recieved from her baby shower and fill the box with things such as utlrasound pics, first pregnancy test, etc. I fell in the love with the idea and finally got around to making one myself. Of course you will need other boxes as he grows up but this one with work for now.

Maternity Pictures!

Cam and I were finally able to get maternity pics done! We had wanted to wait until I was a little closer to my due date just for the belly aspect :). We had them taken this sunday by Shandi Duree. Which she did an amazing job! She made it really fun and we were both really comfortable with her. I was a little hestant on wanting to get them done professionally or not just because it can get really expensive. But from the ones that I have seen that she took I dont regret getting them taken at all. It was a good expense. Something that Cam and I can look back on as well as Cooper. Speaking of Cooper!!! Only four more weeks until he arrives at the longest! My Doc said that he might start me at 39 weeks. I cant believe how time flies. It seems like just yesterday we had found out that we were expecting! Cam and I finished his room! So glad to have that done! Now all we need it our little boy.

Here are a few that was taken for us! Cant wait to see what the rest look like!

Playing Catch Up!

So I haven't had a lot of time to blog. But I have some extra time so now I have to play catchup! So much has happened this last month. Cam and I are still JOBLESS! Which is a little frustrating at times but we really have been blessed with friends and family helping us. Which we are so thankful for. The good new is Cam does have an over the phone interview with Convergys! SO... CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR US. Anyway, Cam is now coaching football at Sky View. He is coaching the Freshman offensive and deffensive line. He loves it! He is so good with the kids and they just love him.

As for me I've just been busy making things for Coopers nursery, and getting ready for the baby. I dont know why but for some reason lately I love love love doing crafts. I havent been all that into it before but now I love it. Must be the mom in me :) I have been making some decorations for Coopers room and some flowers! Yesterday, I had a baby shower which was so much fun! My friends Cara and Tori are both expecting as well. We were able to get a picture of our prego bellies.

We are almost done with the nursery! I cant believe that I only have 6 and a half more weeks until our son arrives. We have been so lucky to  Theres just a few more things that I would like to get forfind all the things he needs for great prices! There are just a few more things that I would like to add to it then were done! Feels like a weight off! Im the type of person who has to get everything done right now! So im pretty sure that I have been driving Cam crazy but he has been such a great sport. Speaking for sports Here are a few pictures of the fun stuff we are putting in the Nursery.

Coopers rocking chair with his Daddys sports Bear.

C for Cooper!

The sport tiles that Cam and I made today. They will be hanging on his wall.

As for Mr. Cooper he is moving around and kicking ALOT. My sister in Law was over here and she had her hand on my belly and Cooper kicked her so hard that she was a little surprised and screamed. It made me laugh. Our little one is a mover for sure.

Baby shower!

My moms side of the family hosted a baby shower this weekend. My cousin and I are 3 weeks apart and we thought that it would be a fun idea to have a double baby shower. She is pregnant with her 4th girl, and you all know this is my first. So it was so much fun to see all the girl and blue wrapped presents.

My cute Olivia.

Anna and I. 3 weeks apart.

She loved the Hooter Hider I made her.
All the fun gifts.

Gestational Diabities... YUCK!

So Cam and I went to the Doc a couple of weeks ago and yes had the lovely appointment of drinking that all you pregnant women love.... the yummy sugary drink. Well guess what? I failed it! Of course knowing my luck I would fail it. So the next week they sent me down to the lab to do a four hour blood test. They told me that I couldnt eat overnight and while they did the lab tests and to make sure to bring a book. I would be there the full four hours, drawing my blood on the hour. Cam of course was great and came with me.So I went to my Doc the next day and he gave me the great announcement that I have gestational diabities. Which means that I meet with a diabetic nurse and a diabetic counselor who goes over what I can and cannot eat. We went in this last thursday (almost about a week ago) and met with the counselour. She then explained that I am only allowed four servings or carbs a meal. and to make sure to check my blood sugars first thing in the morning to make sure my sugar levels are where they need to be. Then she said that I could check them throughout the day if I wanted too. Well the next Doc's appointment my Doc told me that I needed to be checking 4 times a day 2 hours after every meal. So yes I have to prick myself four times a day. Which I thought that I was going to hate but isnt so bad.  I have been checking four times a day for the past week almost and they are still stinkin high! Im trying everything that I can not eating sweets (well... I totld myself Im allowed 1 sweet every now and then) But I havent drank any soda or juices. and they are still high! So guess what that means......INSULIN SHOTS! I see my doc this friday and he will then decide if I need to do insulin shots or not.. Which cross your fingers for me because Im sure as heck not wanting to do them.
